Dear Friends and Family,

I am lacing up my sneakers May 17th with MJ (aka Doc!) and Smith! We'll be walkin' & rollin' our best at Brighton Area School's Walk-a-Thon. We are excited to once again be a part of this event that raises money for our awesome school therapy dogs, aka The BAS Pack of Dogs! We have the best therapy dogs at our schools. They always make everyone feel safe and loved, and their handlers are amazing too!

I am asking for sponsors to help us reach our goal of raising $700, which is $5 more than we raised last year together with our neighbors, friends and family! Not only do we see our dogs EVERY day of the school year, but also at community events throughout the summer:) We are excited and motivated to help meet the BAS fundraising goal of $15,000. No one can do it alone, but if we all come together I know we can! Will you help by pledging per lap or a simple flat donation?

About this fundraiser:

Brighton Area Schools was the first public school district in Michigan to have district-owned therapy dogs. Our dogs provide our students daily with positive academic, behavioral, and emotional support. Each school building has its own therapy dog working to help students overcome personal obstacles while having a positive impact on self-confidence and esteem. The Pack Parade will be our sole fundraiser for the year and will be the key to providing us with the ability to impact more students in our schools. You can be a true hero in the lives of our students by pledging to walk with our dogs and supporting our program.

This is your chance to create your team to raise money for your school's therapy dog.

There will be two total school prizes.
A prize for the school that raises the most amount of money.
A prize for the school that has the most people attend the event.

To have your attendance counted, make sure you check in at the event table at the start of the event. When you check in, you'll get a small gift from your school therapy dog!

What: A walk for participants to pledge in support of our district therapy dogs.

Where: BHS Football Field & Track

When: Saturday, May 17, 2025

Start: 11 AM

END: 1 PM

We will have Twisted Sugar Bubble Tea on site! After you're done walking laps, we will have yard games to play with your friends. Come spend a fun morning with our Pack of Dogs and community!
