I am diving into my books and reading my best for my school's Read-a-Thon. Funds raised from this Read-a-Thon will be used to fund assemblies, teacher grants, activities and other school needs.

I'm going to read as much as I can over the next few weeks, and I'm asking for sponsors to help me reach my fundraising goal. Will you help by making a donation?

About this fundraiser:

The Brookdale HSA is pleased to announce this year's Read-a-Thon. Thank you for encouraging our students to use their love of reading to directly support our school. Funds raised through this program will go towards funding assemblies, teacher grants, activities for the students and staff, gifts for the school and other school needs. Students will also have the opportunity to win prizes along the way. We truly appreciate your support for the students and school alike.

Last year we set a goal for our school to read 100,000 minutes, and we surpassed it by so much, we are doubling the goal this year to 200,000 minutes! The average minutes read per participating student last year was 1000, with our top readers having read between 3000 to nearly 6000 minutes. You may donate either a flat or per minute amount to help support. Per minute donations can add up quickly... for example, if you pledge .20 per minute and 1000 minutes are read, that's $200.
