Help spread the word

Dear Friends and Family,
I am committing to read 20 minutes per day during the month of March for Brooks' Read Across America Read-a-Thon Fundraiser. Each student at school has a fundraising goal of $30, but the sky is the limit! This event raises money which will directly benefit my school in so many ways.
Thanks in advance for you helping me support my school (and 500 schoolmates) while I become a better reader!
About this fundraiser:
Welcome to our 4th annual Read-A-Thon! Please join us as we kick off March with a Dr. Seuss Read Across America Challenge!
CSTAR’s 4th Annual Read-A-Thon is to raise money and support BROOKS ELEMENTARY SCHOOL needs! CSTAR is a non-profit organization striving to provide purposeful fundraising to support programs and events at both Mattie Washburn and Brooks Elementary Schools. The team at CSTAR is super excited to be partnering with Brooks for this fundraiser again!
As a 3rd-5th Grade School, Brooks is where student learning further develops and thrives. The benefits of reading are limitless! Reading is one of the basic foundations of learning that propels success in all directions. Reading builds vocabulary, develops analytical skills, and promotes creative writing. It can provide tranquility in stressful times, stimulate the imagination--and is FUN!
Students will record their daily reading on a log provided by their teacher. Reading minutes must be signed by an adult and turned in to your teacher at the end of the month to be eligible for tons of amazing prizes!!! Prizes will be given out to top readers, top fundraisers and everyone who turns in a reading log!
The Read-A-Thon is a motivating and fun way for your student to engage with reading and share their progress with their family and friends! Please know that no pledge amount is too small. We have set a fundraising goal of $30 per student - $1 per day through the month of March. Your support for Brooks will impact the students and staff in so many ways! Let's go Brooks! We can do this!
Your donations will help pay for:
- Student Enrichment Programs - Garden, Music, Library
- Annual Classroom and Playground Supplies
- Activities - Assemblies, Fieldtrips, Bridging Ceremony
