Dear Friends and Family,

I am practicing my free throws for the 4th Annual City of Ukiah Basketball Shoot-A-Thon! This event raises money for current and future basketball players to continue playing at a low and affordable rate. Donations also help provide new equipment for the league.

I would appreciate it if you could help support me and all other youth basketball players.

This event will take place in the gym at the Alex Rorabaugh Recreation Center (1640 S State St.) on Saturday, February 1st starting at 8:00 am. I hope you have the time to come watch me make my free throws!

About this fundraiser:

The City of Ukiah offers a recreational basketball league for boys and girls in grades K-12. This league is non-competitive and designed to encourage participation and develop basketball skills while helping children learn to respect others, to practice sportsmanship, and to accept both winning and losing gracefully. All of our coaches are volunteer, but the pricing of uniforms, referees, and equipment continually increase. With the help of your pledge, the City of Ukiah is able to keep the fee to register at a low and affordable price as well as purchase new equipment for the league! Please know that no amount is too small. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Kids have the chance to win various prizes based on the amount of pledges they bring in.
