Help spread the word

Hi friends, family and framily!
I am so excited to run in the Dicken Dash on October 4th. I'm already practicing in gym class, during recess, and challenging my pals to foot races any chance I get. My secret is keeping my hands stretched vertically, fingers together, while I run. I call it "turbo mode!"
The Dash is my school's primary fundraiser. Your pledges motivate me to run as fast as I can to raise as much as I can for field trips, educational enrichment programs, teacher stipends, supplies, and other critical priorities. I raised a ton of money last year (THANK YOU) so the pressure's really on! Think you can help me get to a thousand dollars? A thousand dollars is one hundred dollars times ten, by the way. And a hundred dollars is ten dollars times ten. I have been playing with a calculator lately and let me tell you, it's fascinating.
Thank you for your consideration!
Love,
Felix
About this fundraiser:
The Dicken Dash has been our school’s primary fundraiser for more than 12 years. Leading up to the big day, our students train during gym class and with the Dicken Running Club. During the event, they run as many quarter-mile laps as they can around the athletic grounds. The Dash is sponsored by local businesses but the majority of its success comes from generous pledges by family and friends.
This year, we are hoping that the Dash will be our only major fundraiser. The funds raised will directly cover the PTO’s priorities for the 2024-2025 school year, some of which include:
Academic Achievement: New books for each student during March is Reading Month, in-school performances and assemblies, field trips, Super Science Day, WESO (Science Olympiad), and teacher stipends.
Student & Community Support: Family events (like the Pumpkin Patch, Ice Cream Social and Winter Walk), yearbooks for all students, the 5th grade promotion event, healthy snacks for students in the office, and extra winter outerwear for students.
PTO Grants: Decodable readers for early elementary students, cursive curriculum for the 4th graders, and the Mystery Science curriculum that supplements 75% of Dicken classrooms.
School Enhancement: Teacher grants, updating the Staff Lounge, and keeping the supply closet stocked with necessary items (such as wipes, facial tissue, paper towel, printer paper, and classroom supplies).
We are looking forward to a very successful and FUN event.
