The G.A.A. P.T.G. is challenging the students to read over 2,000 hours (or 45 minutes per day, per student) from Monday,February 23rd through Thursday, March 5th in our fourth annual Read-A-Thon! The Read-A-Thon will highlight ways reading can take you to new places and encourage all students to read everyday.

The Read-A-Thon website will track each student's donations and the classroom standings. You can search for a particular student or just make a general donation. Flat donations are accepted. If the students wish, they can keep a log of minutes and gather per minute donations. Parents will be required to log the students mintues read on the website by midnight, Thursday, March 5th.

STUDENT PRIZES:

The classroom with the most dollars raised will win a classroom prize of a pizza party, an extra 30 minutes of recess, and the Read-A-Thon Trophy.

Top dollar earning student wins a gift card and a dress down day.

Top minutes read student wins a gift card and a dress down day.

For each $10 donation, the student's name will be entered into a raffle to be Principal for the Day.

FAMILY PRIZE:

Each family that has at least $100 in donations will receive entry into a raffle to have your family's fundraising quota balance paid off, equal to an amount up to $750!

10% of donations will be credited to the family fundraising goal.

Winners will be announced on Friday, March 6th.

Last year the Read-A-Thon raised over $5,000 for the P.T.G. Every dollar raised helps the P.T.G. support classroom resrouces and student activities. We hope to surpass last year's goal with your help.
