Please help me in raising funds to support my basketball club. I am working hard in the classroom and the courts. Please help support me in my Hoop Dreams.
About this fundraiser:
AVAC/Hawk Hoops is youth basketball program for boys and girls. The ages of our student athletes are 8-17 years old. We currently have approximately 150 players + in our program, teaching them the game of basketball during the week, competing in weekend tournaments, preparing them for high-school. The director and founder of the program is former NBA player and stroke survivor Juaquin Hawkins (aka Coach Hawk.). Along with coach Hawk we have some really dedicated coaches who spend so much time teaching and mentoring all the kids and at times with little or any compensation. Our goal is to raise funds to provide different travel experiences for our youth players, assist with players tournament fees, scholarships, assist with team gear/uniforms, and opportunities for players to attend events as a team and camps. With the COVID cases affecting everyone at this time, there are times that our teams have less than the required number of players to play, therefore making it difficult to pay the tournament team entry fee because of players unavailability. We would like to also continue to provide unique opportunities to our students athletes such as taking them to NBA games and reward them with additional training opportunities or even a pizza party. Your assistance will help to provide these unique opportunities to our youth players which will encourage them to stay dedicated on the court and in school during these challenging times. Any amount that is received will be greatly appreciate it. With our upcoming trips we would like to launch this fundraiser February 10th-21st.
