Sterling - 3rd Grade

Dear Friends and Family,

I am lacing up my sneakers this month and running my best at the Huffman Spud Run Jog-A-Thon. This event raises money for the PTA to provide opportunities for my classmates and me to engage in activities outside of the standard curriculum, such as potato harvesting, family movie nights, the Fall Carnival, math and science night, skates, sporting equipment and various class field trips.

This is something we feel is crucial to a well-rounded elementary education. With your support, these goals are achievable at Huffman Elementary.

I would appreciate it (and so would my 403 schoolmates) if you could help support me.

Thanks in advance for your support!

About this fundraiser:

It's our third annual Jog-A-Thon fundraiser and our primary focus this year is the replacement of our current planter boxes, which are used to grow potatoes for our annual potato harvest.

This is an activity that all students participate in each year, by planting vegetables in the spring that they can harvest in the fall. Now in our 15th year, the harvest allows our children the opportunity to learn about giving back to our community, as the harvest crop results in the donation of over a thousand pounds of potatoes and carrots to Beans Cafe each year.

We could not engage in the wonderful learning opportunities and the fun things we do here without your monetary support. Please know that no amount is too small. Your ongoing backing and support are both truly appreciated.
