I’m helping to raise money for our goats and classroom renovations through my school’s read-a-thon fundraiser. I am VERY excited about our goats. In addition to being extremely cute, playful, and lovable, they’ll also encourage an atmosphere of joy on campus and provide students with opportunities for caretaking and microbusiness. Our goal is to raise $15,000 to build a 12’x24’ barn, enclose a .4 acre corral, and purchase the necessary caretaking supplies. Additional funds raised will go toward classroom renovations; approximately $5,000 is needed per classroom to receive new paint and carpet.

Our read-a-thon will be taking place from April 17-May 1. My goal is to raise $1000, which will give me the opportunity to help paint a mural on the barn with my name a part of it: a permanent place in Linda Vista’s history.
