Oak Grove HS Bands

Dear Friends and Family,

Thank you for visiting my page. I am participating in my give-a-thon to raise money for instruments, electronic equipment, student chairs and stands and much more.

I'm excited because we've been working really hard to get our program back on its feet after Covid, and I'm asking for sponsors to help me reach my fundraising goal. Will you help by making a donation in my name?

About this fundraiser:

This Oak Grove Bands Fundraiser is specifically targeted to meet our instrument and equipment needs of the High School and Middle School. We have some instruments as old as the Oak Grove Band Program itself. The directors have diligently tried to keep them in service, but some are now unrepairable. We need new Sousaphones which cost about $10,000 a piece. Our Electronic Equipment is requiring repair weekly to keep it running and our Student Band Chairs and Stands do not support good posture and breathing technique. Over the past few years we have struggled to fundraise due to Covid. Donations through this fundraiser will go directly towards these purchases.

Our All Superior Band Program is dedicated to giving students the opportunity to grow musically, socially, and academically. Through musical performance, students learn how to perform and appreciate music of a variety of styles and levels of difficulty. Through group involvement, students learn how to work together to achieve common goals and achievements that are more personal and develop self-discipline. Through the study of harmony, scales, rhythms, etc., students develop skills that will allow them to truly understand and appreciate the foundation of music as well as the aesthetics.

We could not engage in the wonderful learning opportunities and the fun things we do here without your monetary support. Please know that no amount is too small. Your ongoing backing and support are both truly appreciated.
