Dear Friends and Family,

I am lacing up my sneakers this month and running my hardest at the Ocean Beach Elementary Jog-A-Thon. This event raises money for me and my classmates to continue to be enriched with Art, P.E. and other programs that are essential but no longer provided by our education system.

I would appreciate it (and so would my schoolmates) if you could help support me.

About this fundraiser:

On Monday, January 30th the students of Ocean Beach Elementary will be participating in the Annual Jog-A-Thon. This is our largest fundraiser of the year. Everyone is invited to come and enjoy the day! Our goal is to raise $17,000! (A minimum $30 pledge per child will help us reach that goal.) These much-needed funds will go directly towards educational enrichment in your child's classroom. Please get involved; give as much as you can; donate your time; get your business involved and corporate connections going!

Starting today we will be accepting donations for this fundraiser. You can support a child per lap or in a lump sum. All money raised will go to the teachers to use as needed in the cassroom or to fund Ocean Beach Elementary's award winning arts program. Yes, YOUR donations pay for that.

For those that give via cash or check, don't worry we will add that amount into the child's account on this site so you and your child can see their grand total. Donations will be accepted until the end of Friday March 3rd.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: We need your help! Come join the "Cheering Squad" and lap counters.

FUN RUN PRIZES!

- For donations of $100 or more: Entered into the drawing for the New Bike! (1 ticket per $100).The bicycle drawing will take place during morning announcements on Friday, February 10th.

- For all top money earners (raise over $200): Pizza Party with the Principal.

- Each Student that brings the minimum $30: Gets an OBE water bottle!

- For the top lap runners per class (1 boy and 1 girl): Gift Certificate for frozen yogurt or ice cream.

- Top $ earning class: Ice Cream Party!

*To be included for the prizes, donations must be
received by Friday, February 5th , 2017.

Each student will receive their own official La Count Participation Certificate and an Ocean Beach Elementary button.

Class T-shirts and OBE water bottles will be available for sale during the event.
