Faith Bateman

Dear Friends and Family,

I am tightening my batting gloves next month and swinging for the fences at the Ohio Edge Hit-a-Thon. This event raises money for me and my team to continue playing at a top level in select fastpitch softball. All donations will go directly to entering more tournaments, gear and uniforms for the season.

I would very much appreciate it (and so would my 11 teammates ) if you could help support us.

Thanks in advance for your support!

About this fundraiser:

The Ohio Edge is an organization that has the main goal of preparing young ladies for college and beyond. Fastpitch softball is the sport we play, but through the hard work and year round dedication we continuously see coachable, hard working and enthusiastic women entering the real world with college degrees and a unwavering ability to work as a team.

The Ohio Edge as an organization has girls from 8 years old all the way through 23 years old. Each team throughout the Edge utilizes funds from team parents, along with generous donations from local businesses and the kind support of friends, families, and community supporters in order to pay for the ever increasing costs of uniforms, gear, and tournaments.

This Hit a Thon is open to the public and we would love for everyone interested to come out and spend a day with the team. It will be an All-Star Game kind of day with some skills challenges and games, the actual Hit-a-Thon, a cookout/carry-in and will conclude with a Ohio Edge Parents vs. Ohio Edge 14U game.

The Hit-a-Thon pledges will be based on your donation x distance of the furthest hit out of 10 swings for each girl, and 4 coaches.

Example:
You donate $.10 per foot, in the players 10 swings she hits the furthest ball 200 feet.
$.10 x 200ft. = $20

Your donations will help pay for:

  • Tournaments
  • Special uniforms for breast cancer awareness events
  • Softball Gear
