Dear Friends and Family,

I am polishing up my marching shoes and getting ready for another run at the UIL State Marching Competition this fall with the Santa Gertrudis Academy Lion Marching Band. This year will be a State year, and we are ready to return to the field to represent the school and city at the UIL Regional and Area contest for a chance to make it to State again. We are holding nothing back this year, and to give us a better chance, we are hiring a professional designer to ensure our show is worthy of our spot. With your support and our hard work, I know we will not disappoint our hometown. This event raises money for my fellow band and dance mates to continue to be enriched with all that this music program offers. Majority of our funds come from Santa Gertrudis Music Parents Association fund raising that helps all music programs.

The Santa Gertrudis Lion Music Programs are an award-winning organization where students learn to appreciate all types of music and feel proud in their accomplishments both on and off the field. The Marching band has been to the UIL State Marching Contest 3 consecutive times (2017,2019,2021). We know that this is the product of our incredible students, the awesome staff who believe that relationships are key to optimal learning, potential, talent, and more importantly the incredible support of our families. Our Award-winning Areilles have accomplished so much in their short span and have even sent dancers to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade for two straight years. Without your monetary support we would be unable to continue engaging in the wonderful learning opportunities and the fun activities we do. Please know that no amount is too small. Your ongoing backing and support are both truly appreciated. Your donation will go towards our preparations and planning for another successful state run in the 2023-2024 school year.
