Dear Friends and Family,

I am dawning my swimsuit on july 14th to help a cause dear to me. I will be swimming to help out needy shelters. I will swimming for an hour straight and trying to complete as many laps as possible for needy shelters and to try and create an emergency medical fund for shelters in the area. You may donate per lap, or a bulk amount to help me reach my goal. This will be the first version of this annual event, so I appreciate your help in getting it off to a great start. If you look at the list of organizations that the donations will be used for, you will see a long list of organizations doing incredible work to help the lives of our four legged friends around the world. While some of us swimmers will be trying to get through the hour without drowning : ), others will be competing for medals for most laps swam within their age group, and two grand prizes for the most laps swam, and most money raised. For 8 years now we have run a tennis tournament here at Ruby Hill to help both the Humane Society and other smaller no kill shelters. For the first time we are running a "Swim for Shelters" to continue our help of other smaller shelters and to create and emergency medical fund for these shelters when they run into the frequent problem of having distressed rescues needing emergency medical treatment. Event will take place on Friday July 14th during the Ruby Hill Swim practice. Participants will be have one hour to swim as many laps at possible within that one hour. They may seek donations based on laps completed or bulk amounts from donors. There will be food, t-shirts for any swimmer completing the per participant goal of $250 This year's prize will be two Finis Duo underwater MP3 player to the participants raising the most money. Feel free to bring your four legged companion(on a leash) to come cheer you on.
To sign up simply, send us swimmers name, email, phone number. We will create a pledge page for you to then go out and get friends, family and community to help you with your goal.
