Help spread the word

Dear Friends and Family,
From March 1st to April 30th, I will lace up my sneakers and walk daily for my health and well-being with United Black Mothers of America. Walking is one of the simplest yet most powerful ways to care for your heart, body, and mind. This annual event helps fund UBMA’s wellness and mental health initiatives that provide health education and access to culturally competent care.
I would really appreciate it (and so would many moms) if you could support me by walking with UBMA and helping me raise $1200. We all deserve to live long and healthy lives.

Thanks so much for your support! #walkwithus #healthiertogether
About this fundraiser:
Heart disease claims the life of 1 in every 5 women in the U.S., and Black women are nearly 60% more likely to suffer from heart disease than their white counterparts, making it the leading cause of death and a devastating health crisis in our community.
Your donation will help provide $250 grocery gift cards to support moms in SE Michigan who are navigating their health in this challenging economy. It will also help fund UBMA’s wellness and mental health initiatives that provide health education and access to culturally competent care.
This year, we’re walking 2 miles per day for 61 days (March 1st - April 30th )—not just for our own wellness but also to raise awareness about heart disease, the leading cause of death for Black women.
Every dollar raised will go toward funding UBMA’s wellness programs, mental health initiatives, and direct support for moms navigating this challenging economy.
Pledge $1 for every mile walked, and together, we can strengthen both your health and our community.
We deserve to live long and healthy lives. #healthiertogether
