The Yoga Womb is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to make yoga and meditation accessible to as many people as possible.

At 6 a.m. on Sunday, June 21st, we are gathering in Graham Park to complete 108 Sun Salutations with as many participants as possible to help raise funds to support our mission.

This event (our 2nd annual) is our biggest fundraiser of the year.

Science, anecdotal evidence and our own experience demonstrate the powerful lasting effects these practices have on helping people heal from trauma and build calm resilience: physically, mentally and spiritually. With regular practice yoga and meditation lead to improved relationships, more professional success, higher tolerance for stress and a more fulfilling life. Since opening in October of 2024, we have awarded 22 scholarships for studio memberships. We've hosted several free 8-week series, including Yoga for Domestic Violence Survivors and Yoga for Caregivers. We've also held free weekly ongoing classes such as Yoga for Trauma Survivors, Soul Powered Sobriety Circle and Foundations in Meditation. Furthermore, we developed a mental health prescription program where local therapists can actually prescribe yoga and meditation and we host free Yoga in the Park all summer long.

About the Event:

At 6 a.m. on Sunday, June 21st, we are gathering in Graham Park to complete 108 Sun Salutations with as many participants as possible.

Last year 25 people attended and this year our goal is for 40 people (or more!) to join us in the park for this special, ceremonial event as the sun rises over Sturgeon Bay. There will be live music by Ace Champion, a grand prize drawing and light refreshments.

Attendees help raise money by either paying a flat fee to participate or soliciting pledges for the number of sun salutations they plan to do using this online platform.
