Help spread the word
Dear Friends and Family,
I am diving into my books and reading my best for YokyWorks' inaugural Read-A-Thon! I'm excited to be a part of it because all proceeds will help more students receive Milan Method instruction and unlock the gift of literacy.
I'm going to read as much as I can between May 3rd and May 28th, and I'm asking for sponsors to help me reach my fundraising goal. Will you help by making a pledge per minute that I read or a simple flat donation? We have a team goal of reading 10,000 minutes over 26 days.
Thank you for all of your support and encouragement! Please check out www.yokyworks.org/readathon for more information and exciting updates throughout the event!
About this fundraiser:
At YokyWorks, our mission is to remove reading barriers and unlock the potential of every child. The human brain is not designed to read—the human brain is designed to speak and to interpret language, but most brains cannot learn to read fluently without adaptive instruction. Fortunately, we have a solution. Our program makes reading effortless with fun and engaging activities specially designed for the ways the human brain is wired to learn.
We welcome you to the very first YokyWorks Read-A-Thon, extending from May 3-28, 2021! We are excited to unite our community of current and former students, staff, friends, and colleagues to promote literacy and celebrate the joy of reading. By supporting our read-a-thon participants, you are not only sending encouragement to meet their reading goal of 15-30 minutes per day, but are also making it possible for more students to experience the benefits of Milan Method instruction. We could not engage in the wonderful learning opportunities and the fun things we do here without your monetary support.
Please know that no amount is too small. You can support an individual participant by navigating to their personal page (see bottom of the homepage for list of participants) where you may consider making a pledge per minute read or a flat donation. If you aren't sure who to donate to, consider clicking the drop down menu under All Participants to find one of our Young Readers to support! You can also support the entire Read-A-Thon event by making a general donation (link below the donation progress bar on the homepage). Above all else, we want to bring families and friends together with the common goal of reading and learning for fun! Your ongoing backing and support are both truly appreciated.
