I am lacing up my sneakers and getting ready to do my best at the Happy Valley Elementary Move-A-Thon on October 4th! This event raises money our school to have:

About this fundraiser:

🌲🦄✨ Calling all forest friends, mythical creatures, and fantastical beings! Our students are preparing to dash, dance, and scamper through the enchanted glades of our field at the annual Happy Valley Move-A-Thon: Enchanted Forest Frolic!

Held during the school day, this wondrous event brings together goal-setting, movement, and a sprinkle of forest magic to raise the funds that help keep a year full of learning adventures and cherished traditions at Happy Valley Elementary.

Guided by our P.E. Specialist Mrs. Flink, our young adventurers have been training for this spectacular day. They’ve been learning to transform laps into miles (6 laps equals 1 magical mile!) and master other fitness feats. Students are encouraged to set goals that reflect their own unique abilities, while also unlocking the power of teamwork and encouragement. In this enchanted journey, there's also a touch of social-emotional magic, as they learn to support one another, stay safe, and follow the path of kindness and integrity around the track.

While we can’t wave a magic wand to reach our fundraising goals, we invite you to be part of the enchantment! Consider making a donation to help us reach our goal of at least $100 per student. Your support will ensure that our students continue to experience the joy of movement, togetherness, and the many marvelous traditions that make Happy Valley Elementary so magical! Volunteers and spectators are warmly welcomed to join in the fun and cheer on our forest explorers.

And remember, by contributing to our fall fundraiser, you’re not just helping Happy Valley. Thanks to our PTA bylaws, 10% of the funds raised will be shared with other Bellingham schools as part of the Elementary Partners Equity Project, extending the magic to students in greatest need. Together, we’re weaving a stronger, more compassionate community.
