I am breaking out my laptop next month and sitting down to write the next bestseller at The Inner Loop's Write-a-thon! This event brings the community together to raise money for The Inner Loop to continue offering quality, inspiring programming and resources to writers like me at low-to-no cost.

I'm excited to be a part of this event, so I can make major headway in my writing project and support a literary nonprofit that I love at the same time. I would appreciate it if you could help me reach my personal fundraising goal of $500 by making a per-hour of writing pledge or a simple flat donation. As little as $5 per hour would make a huge difference to me and this amazing organization!

About this fundraiser:

The Inner Loop’s Write-a-thon is a day-long in-person event, in which writers commit to writing for 8 hours and enlist their friends and family to support them along the way!

The Inner Loop’s goal is to support writers, and to help them explore new creative territory. We know the process isn’t always easy, and that deadlines and accountability can go a long way when it comes to finishing up that essay or finally writing that poem. That’s why we’re offering writers the chance to sit down and write for an entire day, while we pamper them with treats and moral support.

But it's not just about putting pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard). It’s also an opportunity to support a meaningful cause. By participating in our Write-a-thon, you'll be helping to raise funds for The Inner Loop, making a real difference in the lives of local writers and our arts community.

The Inner Loop is a uniquely collaborative and inclusive literary organization based in Washington, DC that provides low-to-no cost programming for writers of all backgrounds and experience levels. Through a lively and welcoming monthly reading series, podcast, summer residency, writers’ retreats, and our Author’s Corner publicity campaign, our focus is supporting and fostering a diverse and progressive community that showcases writers within DC’s unique and evolving literary arts scene.
